*Sodium Coco-Sulfate: SCS is a palm-free, biodegradable alternative to sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS). The Environmental Working Group (EWG) gives SCS a "1," which is their highest safety rating. However, some say that SCS can be drying, especially for people with dry, processed, or afro hair, or skin conditions like eczema, dermatitis, or psoriasis.
