I personally use the Cerametix filters in our Berkey, and they’ve worked really well for us. I also use the mineral bag in the bottom reservoir (I pour the contents directly into the lower chamber to reduce plastic), and the whole setup has been simple and practical for our home. I do still love our Berkey, but after some of the questions and controversy around Berkey filters, I felt more comfortable switching to these filters inside our system. I like that they’re made by a smaller business, they last a long time, and it’s easy to tell when it’s time to change them. Overall, it’s a setup I feel good about using every day while we're in a rental home. -Destiny

Note
Always test your own water first so you know what needs to be filtered out. This helps ensure you choose the right filter for your specific situation.

Filter Options
There are a few different options, and the best choice depends on the type of water you’re using. Most of these filters remove fluoride, but each option is a little different:

Cerametix Filters
Recommended for well, wild, raw, or city water
Slower drip rate
Filters down to 0.2 microns
Compatible with Berkey systems

Aquametix Filters
Recommended for city water
Faster drip rate
Filters at 10 microns to allow faster flow
Compatible with Berkey systems

British Berkefeld Ultra Sterasyl Triple‑Stage Ceramic Gravity Filter
Best for well water
Filters 0.5–0.8 microns
Made in the UK
Designed for customers without fluoride concerns
Not intended to filter fluoride

Looking for a complete gravity system instead of filters?
If you don’t already own a Berkey, Greenfield Water Solutions also offers a full gravity water filtration system. It’s a solid option for anyone wanting an all‑in‑one setup rather than using filters in an existing system.  If you decide to go that route, you can still use code DESTINY10 to save.
