I personally got this mat after TONS of research and there really isn't a ton of non--toxic bath mat options out there. Most are made of plastic or leech chemicals into the water. Most people probably think bath mats aren't a huge deal but your feet can soak up all those chemicals and babies/toddlers usually sit in their bath water with this! While this was pricey for a bath mat (IMO), it has lasted us a long time. The only downfall I found is that if you don't pick it up and let it dry really well, it can develop mold. It's very easy to wipe down, just made sure it dries all around the suction cups! --Destiny
