My Mission

This page is meant to help you learn about ingredients and find cleaner products that actually work in real life. My goal is education, not perfection. Learn more about my approach on my About Me page.

Disclaimer: I don't believe in "clean" nail polish. There's "better" options and that's what I will share but I personally don't believe in "non-toxic" nail polish. You also have to consider where the nail polish is (on your nails, not your skin) and if you're inhaling the ingredients. You will see ingredients that I typically avoid in other types of products in some of the nail polish options. I think if you're going to paint your nails, choose "better" options and enjoy them!

Ingredients:

Butyl Acetate, Ethyl Acetate, Nitrocellulose, Acetyl Tributyl Citrate, Phthalic Anhydride / Trimellitic Anhydride / Glycols Copolymer, Isopropyl Alcohol, Stearalkonium Hectorite, Adipic Acid / Fumaric Acid / Phthalic Acid / Tricyclodecane Dimethanol Copolymer, Sucrose Acetate Isobutyrate, Citric Acid

*This is a general list, ingredient list will slightly change due to color

Benefits:

  • Truly 15-free: FREE OF: Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP), Toluene, Camphor, Ethyl Tosylamide, Xylene, Triphenyl Phosphate (TPHP), Benzophenone-1*, Parabens, Sulfates, Bisphenol-A (BPA), Nonylphenol Ethoxylate, Animal-Derived Ingredients, Gluten
  • Quick Drying
  • Chip Resistant
  • Impeccable Coverage
  • Ultra Shine
  • Vegan & Cruelty Free

*Benzophenone-1: many "cleaner" brands have this ingredient in their nail polish and it's used to preserve color integrity by blocking UV rays. In animal studies, it has been shown as an endocrine disruptor... it is not recommended to use for pregnancy or kids. Therefore, I prefer to avoid this ingredient in nail polish.
