My Mission

This page is meant to help you learn about ingredients and find cleaner products that actually work in real life. My goal is education, not perfection. Learn more about my approach on my About Me page.

Ingredients:

  • Water, Glycerin, Caprylic/capric triglyceride, Cetearyl alcohol, Cetyl alcohol, Glyceryl stearate, Oryza sativa (rice) bran oil, Citrus aurantium dulcis peel oil, Butyrospermum parkii (shea butter), Gluconolactone, Calcium gluconate, Sorbitol powder, Cetrimonium chloride, Tocopherol, Potassium sorbate*, Nelumbium speciosum (lotus) flower oil, Plumeria alba (frangipani) flower extract, Avena sativa (oat) seed extract, Vaccinium macrocarpon (cranberry) seed oil, Chamomilla recutita (matricaria) flower extract, Eucalyptus globulus leaf extract, Ginkgo biloba leaf extract, Aspalathus linearis leaf extract, Schoenanthus (lemongrass) extract, Honey extract, Sodium benzoate*, Citric acid, Vaccinium macrocarpon (cranberry) seed oil, Helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil, Linalool, Limonene

*Certified organic

†A natural component of essential oils

*Postassium Sorbate: I am okay with this preservative in cosmetics and personal care but NOT okay ingesting. Click HERE to read more

*Sodium benzoate is not a concern unless you have an allergy to it and there over 5% being used in a product. I would also be concerned if sodium benzoate was mixed with ascorbic acid (not citric acid) because it COULD potentially create a benzene ring (at extreme temps). Sodium benzoate can also be an eye irritant- I wouldn't wipe baby's eyes with this.

Innersense:  "We do use Sodium Benzoate in some products. This ingredient is derived from salt, and is an effective preservative to prevent microbial growth. In our research and testing, the levels of which we use sodium benzoate and citric acid in our formulas are too low to cause a reaction and cause the formation of benzene. Our green ratings on the Think Dirty app also validate safety and health of our products, plus this ingredient is approved by the European Union. Recently, we have updated our formulas by further reducing the amount of sodium benzoate and introducing potassium sorbate, which is an effective plant based preservative. We are actively transitioning away from the use of Sodium Benzoate. As new green chemistry evolves, we will take advantage of it to strengthen our commitment further to beauty without compromise"
