These are required additives, only a few parts per million, to ensure Libbey glass products maintain consistent color and clarity. As glass ingredients are melted together, they create a new material that does not separate into the original ingredients. Libbey has conducted leach tests on its glassware products and find no measurable amounts of either element migrating from the glassware
